This is a multi-day event with hands-on demonstrations and presentations from some of the nation’s foremost garden design experts. Spend your morning in inspirational garden sessions followed by exclusive private home garden tours around Mackinac Island in the afternoon. Wind down the day with evening receptions on the Front Porch and Tea Garden followed by dinner in the Main Dining Room.

Meet Our Speakers

Paul Zammit – Keynote Speaker
Paul is a professor and an energetic, passionate gardener and speaker who is in demand and has been presenting internationally and in the United States for over 25 years. In July 2019, Paul co-lead a garden tour to South England. In February 2016, Paul and his wife participated in a week of gardening study at Great Dixter in England. In 2017, Garden Making magazine selected them both as two of Canada top 20 shaping gardens across Canada. In 2019, Paul was awarded the garden Communicator of the Year by Landscape Ontario.

Jack Barnwell– The Grand Garden Show will begin with Grand Opening Speaker, Jack Barnwell, Mackinac Island’s own award-winning garden designer, author, and owner of C3 Gardens of Southwest Florida and Barnwell Landscape on Mackinac Island. Jack has over 20 years of experience creating breathtaking commercial and private garden displays on one of the world’s premier summer vacation destinations.

Laura LeBoutillier– We are excited to welcome back Laura LeBoutillier, founder of Garden Answer, the YouTube how-to gardening vlog filled with style, expertise, and gardening knowledge. She can’t wait to chat about all things Earthy, and share some of her expertise with you!

Jenny Simpson – Jenny Simpson, along with her husband Jerry, own and operate Creekside Nursery, Inc in Dallas, NC. Creekside Nursery has been a Proven Winners Certified Garden Center for eight years, and has quickly become a Proven Winners destination garden center with its vast inventory of Proven Winners annuals, perennials, and shrubs.  In early 2019, Jenny and Jerry began their YouTube channel “Gardening with Creekside” with the goal of inspiring gardeners everywhere to go outside and create the space they have always dreamed of.   Jenny is looking forward to meeting you this summer, and she is excited to help you grow, bloom, and thrive!
