    Student/Youth Groups

Throughout the season, Grand Hotel warmly welcomes groups as overnight guests.  You do not have to stay overnight to be our guest, come visit for the day; enjoy the famous Grand Luncheon Experience or stroll the World’s Longest Porch at your leisure. Adults, students and Scout Troop lodging rates are based on availability, and require booking a minimum of 10 guest rooms.  Day visitor group meal reservations require a minimum of 20 persons.

Grand Luncheon Experience

The Grand Luncheon Experience is served daily from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM in our Main Dining Room. Your group will enjoy a wide variety of salads, fresh fruit and vegetables, seafood, cold cuts, hot and cold entrée selections, as well as a dessert table offering more than 20 types of freshly baked pastries. Beverages include milk, lemonade, iced tea, coffee, and hot tea. Reservations are required 60 days prior to arrival and group luncheon rates to apply:

  • $25.00 per child, ages 6-9
  • $32.00 per youth, ages 10-17
  • $24.00 per Scout in uniform ages 6 – 17
  • $49.00 per Adult and Chaperone; this group rate also applies to teachers and chaperones accompanying students or scout troops
  • $56.50 per individual adult who is not part of a group and paying on their own
  • No charge for infants or toddlers up to age 5, when accompanying a parent who has purchased lunch

*All luncheon rates are subject to 6% Michigan state sales tax.

Fort Mackinac Tea Room

Dine within the walls of historic Fort Mackinac. Serving as a sentinel in the Straits of Mackinac for over 115 years, the original restored fort is a National Historic Landmark. Admission to Fort Mackinac is additional. Luncheon, served daily in the Tea Room, includes salads, sandwiches, and hot food items. Outdoor and indoor seating is available. Enjoy breathtaking views while dining beneath the bright yellow umbrellas of Fort Mackinac Tea Room.
